Singapore - Day 2 (Part 1 of 2)

Adjusting to Singapore's time, we woke up around 7AM. Although we are on the same time zone like here in the Philippines, It feels really different. The day was still gloomy. Why does it always rain during daytime?

Since we are not in hurry today, I was able to take some pictures of the breakfast served in SEA Hotel.

Today's schedule is probably my favorite for this whole vacation. The kid inside of me wants to play with Shrek and donkey. I think you're visit here in Singapore is not complete without you having to enjoy the thrill and excitement of one of the premier theme park, the Universal Studios Singapore.

We left the hotel at around 9AM and took a taxi to Vivo City. We needed to take the MRT in going to USS. The MRT ride was just short and we get off at Waterfront Station.

The gates of USS was just a few minutes walk from the station. Good thing that we already purchased our tickets the line going inside was shorter. Upon entering the theme park we immediately rent out a stroller for my daughter. We plan to stay for the whole day to be able to enjoy as many rides and entertainment that we could get.

First stop was the King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round®.Its a merry-go-around with characters from the movie Madagascar. We needed to leave our things at the entrance of the ride. At first I was hesitant because I am not used to living my things. But my wife told me that it was alright to leave our things.

After our King julien's ride, we were supposed to have lunch but instead we watched the Musical Play Monster Rock™ at Pantages Hollywood Theater®. We just had our lunch after the play.

We had our lunch at Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor®. We ordered Family Combo for just 52.80 SGD, consisting of 20" Pizza, 4 regular drinks and 2 orders of soup. We just added an order of Spaghetti Meat balls (with 6 meatballs, yum! yum!).

After paying for our meal, we saw Bettlejuice. Looks like our daughter does not like him.

While waiting for our order. Rockafellas (Streetboys) started performing near the restaurant. We rushed towards them and was able to be in front of the crowd. While watching them dance, you can't help but sway to their music. I miss those days. ehem. ehem.

After lunch, we proceeded next to Lights, Camera, Action!™ Hosted by Steven Spielberg, where we watched how movies was made in the US. We entered to a room , where an introduction about the attraction was made. After which we headed to an adjacent room. It was like a mini studio where we could experience first hand how movies are somewhat made. It was a scene where the a certain building near the sea was hit by a hurricane. Fire broke out. Steel beams falling from the ceiling. Walls collapsing. Chaos was everywhere. I did not dare pull out "DASH" during the entire production. After the take, everything started coming in to places again as if nothing happened. By the time a pulled out "DASH" it was over. But the production like scene was very good. You should definitely try it.

After we left Lights, Camera, Action!™, we noticed there was a performance my the cast of the Madagascar at the capitol place near Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor. We been unable to catch the whole performance but were able to have our pictures taken with some of the mascots.

We also met Marilyn Monroe.

There is so many thing that happened during this trip. More of the USS trip on the next entry.
