Davao, Philippines - Day 2

Day 2 is the time to hit the beach. We had our early morning breakfast and to be able to make it on time (the scheduled time of departure of of boat is 8am) I did not bother to bring "DASH" with us to breakfast. Buffet style, and again we took turns eating when our daughter started to get bored watching videos from my phone. Usually, I am going to finish first my meal and then I would get her so that my wife could finish her meal. After our breakfast, we prepared to leave for one of Davao's finest resorts, Pearl Farm...

We took a taxi ride from the hotel to the reception of Pearl Farm/Marina Wharf. It took us about 10 minutes to get there. After getting our ticket, we are now ready to travel, this time across the sea going to Pearl Farm resort. This was also a first time for us three to travel together across vast area of water. The sky was somewhat dark. I hoped that the weather will cooperate again with us. After 45 minutes of travel, we arrived at Pearl Farm, where we are greeted with a glass of fresh pineapple juice.

We went there as day tour travelers. Upon finding ourselves a hut to place our things, our daughter already wanted to take a dip on the infinity pool. This is not her first time to go on swimming, but this time she enjoyed it more because the water's temperature was just right for her. Unlike her first swimming experience, where she stayed in the water for less than a hour because of too much cold. I was the one who accompanied my daughter to the pool. My wife handled "DASH".

We also swam on the beach, but my daughter enjoyed the pool much more. So we just took some snap shot of her while walking by the shore.

The weather turned out to be a blessing, for most of the morning was overcast with clouds. We then transferred to the another swimming pool, just a few minute walk from the infinity pool. There was also jacuzzi on that part of the resort. My daughter wanted to take some sleep, but upon seeing me going to the jacuzzi, she hurried towards me and once again played on the pool. We decided to leave the pool because it was about lunch time. Wet clothes are not allowed inside Maranao Restaurant so we needed enough time to dry ourselves first.

On our way back, our daughter fell as sleep. Upon returning to our hut, I decided to take a shower already and my wife would take the afternoon to swim together with our daughter. Too bad, the weather started to get hotter and hotter. After taking the shower, we headed now to the buffet table to have our lunch. Our daughter was still sound asleep, my wife just cuddled her through out our lunch. At the middle of our meal, she woke-up and we returned to the usual process of taking turns while eating.

It was such a treat to be able to have lunch at Maranao Restaurant. The food was great. Just a bit expensive though (a can of soda cost us 95 pesos).

I wanted to take a nap but the heat was so intense we decided to just take a ride around the resort. But the electric car that was suppose to bring us around the resort did not have enough charge to tour us around. So we just waited by the shore (inside the hut by the shore, of course!) and tried some Infrared Photography (which unfortunely falied, next time na lang ulit). We just stayed at the hut and waited for some clouds to block the sun. While we were waiting, we had our photo shoot session with our model.

Later that afternoon, our litte angel wanted to swim again by the infinity pool. The sky was still clear, good thing there was a shade and she was able to swim again, but know with her mom.

At 4pm, we boarded the boat ride back to the our resort. It was more quiet ride for us cause our daugther is sleeping all through-out the travel. We headed back to our room, and we rest a bit before we have our dinner later that evening.

As suggested by Paul, Toryano's Chicken Haus was our dinner for that day. We also ordered pork barbecue, but not like the usual barbecue here in Manila where the pork is covered with sauce, the pork barbecue there is just a regular barbecue but the taste is different, its even better than those found in the Metro.

After dinner, we all returned to the hotel and rest for another adventure tomorrow. Or so it seems...
