Singapore - Day 3

We woke up around 7AM. Although I just had 4 hours of sleep I needed to clean up and get ready for another day ahead of us. After we had our breakfast and before we checked out of the hotel, I was able to take some snap shots of our room. This was supposed to be taken on our first night but due to a very tiring travel, I was not able to take any.

we check-out of the hotel and just left our things at the reception. We were set to explore the streets of Bugis. We are just minutes away from the stores and malls in Bugis were we bought our pasalubongs.

While walking towards Bugis Village we came across a familiar name.

Bugis Village is like Greenhills. We just looked around the area and just came back later after we had lunch.

There was one store that really caught my attention. The store was beside another store who sells garments for kids.

Just across Bugis Village is the Bugis Junction. It was like a Glorietta Mall.

Here are some of the photos I took inside Bugis Junction before a Security officer told me that it is not allowed to do so.

We planned to have our lunch at Crystal Jade , famous for there Xiao Long Bao. But we opted to try Honguo Restaurant. Due to the recommendation of our friend, we ordered chicken fried rice. It was really good, too bad the don't served single serving of it.

Fried Golden Prawn

3 Cup Chicken Fried Noodle

After lunch, we just bought some more pasalubong at Giordano and Bossini. Thanks to the Great Singapore sale, we were able to buy more stuff for less price.

We returned to Bugis Village and bought some key chains and some more t-shirts for pasalubong. There were really a lot of people during that time.

After we bought our pasalubong, we walked back to the hotel and tried one of there 1-SGD Ice Cream with waffer.

Before we got our things, we just walked around the Waterloo Street near the SEA hotel.

After we fixed our things, we took a taxi going to Changi Airport. We needed to wait before we were able to check-in. We had our dinner Burger King, my wife wanted to have a heavy meal before another 3 hours flight back home.

After dinner, I had the opportunity to take pictures inside the airport.

We boarded at around 9Pm and arrived at NAIA 3 just past midnight.

Hope you enjoyed having these adventures in Singapore with us.

Till next time. Ciao.

Singapore - Day 2 (Part 2 of 2)

Continuing our great day...

Next attraction was the Madagascar: A Crate Adventure®. The line to the entrance was quite long. While on the line, I read somewhere to prepare to get wet so I just left "DASH" inside my bag and prepared some plastic bag in case it was needed. We took a boat ride and floated inside a huge ship. It was like a watching a story come to life. And the end part of the ride was great. I won't describe it here, but once you tried it you will know what am talking about.

Shrek 4-D Adventure® also had long waiting line but being one of the best attraction in USS we patiently waited for our turn.

We entered to a room where Pinocchio and the Three little pigs was captured. They provided the introduction to the story. And upon entering the main room, It was our to experience the 4D effects of the show. Our nephew was screaming every time he got wet by Donkey's sneeze.

After the Shrek 4-D Adventure®, we headed next to Donkey Live®. We arrived just in time for the show, Raul welcomed us. He entertained us and gave details to what might happen inside the performance room. What i am really amazed by this part of the theme park was how they let Donkey interact with the audience. Of course it was just computer generated/graphics, but still I wanted to look behind the curtains. Also a must try.

We have planned to enter WaterWorld™ but the show already started so we decided to come back for its next scheduled performance. We went instead to Revenge of the Mummy® ride were we met characters from Ancient Egypt.

The waiting line is quite long as we went inside a building that looked like an old structure from Egypt. I think no one's allwed to take a picture of the ride, and true enough you will not be able to take any. I almost lost my glasses during the ride. We left my sister-in-law and her son together with our daughter. We first tried the it and assessed if they would be able to handle the ride. And after all the turns and tumble inside, they preferred not to.

We went back to WaterWorld™ and waited for the show.

WaterWorld™ showcase some scenes from the movie. While waiting for the start of the program, some performers had fun with the audience. The set was divided in sections, and we were lucky to be seated under the dry section and did not get wet while watching. And there were those seated on wet section, mostly in front, that are drenched in water.

Although I am familiar with the movie, the performance was still great with blasting and all the special effects that they had done. After the show, we took photos with the main cast.

With the day almost done, they just wanted to take a rest and I had a chance to take more pictures around.

From Madagascar

From New York

We forgot to take a peak at Jurassic Park and chickened out to take a ride at Battlestar Galactica®. Maybe we could try this the next time. Before we left USS, we had a few more picturing taking.

We left USS around 7:30PM.

After we bought Garrett popcorn, which is the best popcorn I've tasted (we were still able to bring home the popcorn back here in the Philippines and although it lost its crispiness, the taste was still good). We took the MRT again going to the Beach Station for SOS.

We arrived late for Songs of the Sea performance so no decent shots of the show were taken because we were seated at the corner near the exit. We settled to take some snap shots and just enjoyed the show while my daughter was sleeping already.

Right after the show we returned to Vivo City via the MRT and had dinner at Food Republic.

We also met with an old friend/godfather of my daughter.

After dinner, they took a taxi going back to the Hotel. The day was not still finish for me. My friend brought me together with one of his colleague to Clarke Quay where we had a few drinks and shared some funny stories.

I came back to the hotel around 2AM and needed to prepare our things for us to check-out early.

Day 3 had begun, more on this on the next blog entry.
